Halloween 2010

We start off with the school costume parade.  Here is Sinjin, more handsome than Edward or Jacob for sure!!
And I barely caught Tiernan, on her way out the door, she is a "School Girl".
And Amara the natural born Vet.
Tiernan's teacher dressed up like the voodoo warlock on Princess and the Frog.  Here he is scaring her with his snake!

Sinjin, looking goofy with his special Halloween glasses!
Tiernan wanted to play "silent ball" for a while before we left.
On Saturday, we carved our pumpkins, and ran around in the rain for a few minutes.

Amara picked a tiny pumpkin and wanted to paint it.  She is such an artist.  The other kids did their pumpkins all on their own.  I just helped cut the top off and carved the eye lashes on Tiernans, I think they did a pretty good job :)
Here they are, ready to go trick or treating. Amara changed her mind on the Vet costume.  I think she wanted to be a little prettier.
Tait went trick or treating with his friend in a different neighborhood, and Tiernan and Amara went with their friends, so we just had Sinjin.  It was our first year with one kid since Tiernan was born, and our first year without the stroller!  How weird!

Here is Sinjin with his little Girlfriends!  Aren't they to die for!!!?  They are such cuties~
After we came home we had homemade cinnamon rolls and watched Double Double Toil and Trouble and sorted our candy.  All together I think it was a very easy and relaxing Halloween.

Getting our Creative Juices Flowing

We had a lot of fun creating these snow hats for our little one!  The kids had fun helping me out.  Tiernan made the hat with the blue trim and pom pom.  Tait made a red one after this picture.

GWA Fall Carnival

First of all we start off with Crazy Hair day!  I thought it was pretty funny!
October 23rd was a busy day!  First we had the Primary Program Practice, then we had to run off to the School Carnival so the kids could do their class performance for us.  Sinjin's was so cute!  They sang a rock-n-roll version of Baa Baa Black Sheep, then I'm a Mean Old Witch.
Here he is, Joe Cool, with his sunglasses on.
"So you better watch out or I might scare you!!"
Tiernan's fun cowboy dance with her 4th grade classes.

We stood in line FOREVER for these face paintings, but they were worth it :)

Yummy Hungry Howies Pizza for lunch.
And Amara's performance reciting the Preamble of the United States and singing the National Anthem.  Wow!!

Getting their nails done by the DHHS cheerleaders.

And on the swing, another long line, but worth the smiles.

Picking Elderberries and Pregnancy Pics

 Where's Waldo!?

Thane has a craving every fall for Elderberry Jam.  But we have always picked them and then had his mom make the jam for us cause she is good at it and has all the stuff required.  Well this year we decided to try it ourselves.  What an undertaking!  Do you see how tiny the berries are!?  I didn't measure precisely so it turned out being Elderberry Syrup instead!  But it is still yummy!  It tastes kind of like raspberry and blueberry mixed together.

We drove up Kolob Canyon to find them.  If you haven't gone on that drive, you are missing out.  It is my all time favorite drive and at the end you get to these beautiful aspen trees and the reservoir where you can camp and fish.

We found some beautiful leaves.

And some beautiful fall scenery which you don't get down in Saint George until January ;)
Here is our attempt at a self done maternity photoshoot.  Not my favorite, but I thought it was about time I actually got some pictures of me pregnant, since it is my 5th child.  All my other pregnancies I didn't let anyone take pictures cause I didn't like the way I looked.

Here we are at Lava Point lookout.  A camping ground on the way to Kolob Reservoir.  So breathtaking!
We were driving down the road and saw this beautiful background for pics, so I got out of the car and Thane snapped a few pics of me pulling up my pants!  LOL!

Some donkey's wanted to come and say hello too!

The mountains behind me are my favorite part of this drive.  And the field with the amber grass.  Some time of year it's full of sunflowers too.  I love it!

We pulled off the side of the road to snap this one, the kids were yelling at me from the car telling me that it's not safe!  Especially Tait, he was warning us every time he saw a car coming!
We had a blast!  What fun memories!
