Well, another Summer has come and gone, and school is starting here in Saint George Early! Tait started August 10th !! Can you believe it!!!? The other kids are now going to a Charter school (complete with uniforms, Yahoo!) so they didn't start until August 23rd. Then Sinjin didn't start Kindergarten until August 30th. Wow, I can't believe I remembered that! Anyway, here are their, "hurry and run outside for pictures" pictures :) As we were rushing out the door. My kids really do love school, I couldn't ask for anything more. I created these collages using each of their favorite colors.
Sinjin loves his teachers name. Miss Smart. He said to me, "what is my teachers name again?" and I told him and he said "Oh, like how I'm smart!" Such a cutie!
Amara just loves her uniform. She loves switching the colors all around and being matchy with Tiernan. She loves her teacher and actually has a lot of her friends from the neighborhood and the old school in her class. She is such a firecracker!
Tiernan is a smartie! She also loves school and all of her papers have dotted i's and crossed t's. She is making so many new friends, and constantly is telling me "a girl came up to me at school today and asked if I wanted to play". I think she is surprised at how much she likes the new school. She is especially excited about having her first "boy" teacher. Mr. Williams. She is constantly talking about him :)
Tait is finally in Intermediate school with the 6th and 7th graders. He was so ready to move on, and just loves every minute of it. He wants to be involved in everything that goes on there. He is always helping out at lunch duty, is in the Orchestra (playing the Cello), taking woodworking, and playing every sport that comes up. He is so much happier when he is busy.. we love that about him! He has almost straight A's (math tests are a challenge sometimes) and he is doing great. He gets to ride the bus again, and he is very exited about that. He was born independent.
As for me? Do I have tons of free time? NO! (well I guess I did have time to post this) but I am keeping busy for sure! Running the preschool is a full time job itself at the beginning of the month, even though I am not teaching every day, and there is all the learning and creating that I do with photography. I keep myself busy, but I miss my kids like crazy when they are gone!
