Christmas Eve 2012

Christmas Eve is a special night for my family. We start with the traditional opening of new Christmas PJ's.

This year, Thanes brothers and sisters came over with their kids for a party. This is Amara with her cousin Nicole.

This is a huge box Seth wrapped some awesome drawings in for his family. Yes, you heard me right, drawings on 8.5 x 11 papers. He wanted to mask what he was bringing I guess! And of course everyone had to pile in there and see how many people could fit!

Here are the drawings Seth drew for his family.  This is Thane as a surfer in Hawaii. I'm sure that's exactly what he'd be doing today if they hadn't moved away.

Josh is a floating upside down man? I don't know, a trickster?

Leif is dancing.

Honey is a cowgirl.

April is rock climbing.

Rusty is rollerblading, Tanisha is dancing.

Lacey is running.

Kami is ballroom dancing.

Steven has a tool belt and Tammie is hula dancing.

Caresa is break dancing.

You can tell this made everyone emotional. Red eyes. These meant a lot to everyone.

I had to get a shot of the cute "Cocoa Cups".

And on to the balloon stuffing game. Two or three players put on WAY oversized clothes and they have a partner that stuffs them full with balloons. Then they have to "dance" the balloons out of their clothes and the first one to get all the balloons out, wins! Ha ha~!  Here is Tiernan trying her hardest.

 Tanisha is a total hunchback! Ha Ha~

 And then the dice game. When you roll doubles you get to go and try to find a gift in the box.

 And try to get it open before someone else rolls a double.

Temple Square at Christmas Time 2012

I knew what I was getting into when I married my awesome husband. A family full of these crazy beautiful people who make crazy plans to do some crazy stuff. One of them being, going to Temple Square together on a Sunday in December.

I don't know why he's crying, he cried almost the whole time. Maybe he was crying at the awful mustache Uncle Josh has ;)

I love this nativity scene right on the water with floating candles and the reflection of the temple.
