1st Day of Preschool!

Today was Sinjin's First day of preschool! My battery on my camera died right when I got there, so here are some pictures of him after school! I am his teacher, so we have a lot of fun together! I can't believe that he is my last to be in preschool and this is his last year before kindergarten! I'm not that old am I? I am excited about this year, my class is the best, I can already tell!

Labor Day Fun!

For Labor Day, Jared and Christine were visiting with their 3 cute kids, so we decided to go exploring. We started out at Silver Reef, we had never been there. It was pretty cool, but the museum was closed. We still had a lot of fun going "off roading" in our van! :) We found some really deep silver mine pits. One was 546 feet deep, yes they had a grate over them, but I still wouldn't let my kids get close to them!

Sinjin's name means St. John, so we had to get a picture of him by the memorial for the St. John Church!

After Silver Reef, we decided to drive up to Oak Grove and have a picnic and a hike. The kids found a swing instead, so we scratched the hike. The swing was more fun!
Here are my kids FREEZING in the 80 degree weather! They had to stand in the sun! LOL!

Afterward we went swimming at the Rec Center. It was a great day!

Vegas Baby!

Our friends came down to visit for the Labor Day Weekend, so we took off to Vegas for something different to do. It was different alright, let's just say, I don't like Vegas one little bit. BUT, it redeemed itself a little when we walked into the Hard Rock Cafe! We walked up to the hostess and she asked us if we were eating with them today, we said yes and she informed us that today was their "Pre-Opening Practice Party" so our lunch would be FREE! The first luck I have had in Vegas! Here we are, a little excited(red eyes and everything)! Everyone got their own meal, the kids didn't even have to share! :o) (we always make them share when we go out to eat).

They had these cool touch screen coffee tables for the kids to play memory games on while we waited for our table (which was only like 10 min.)
A whole wall with a touch screen computer on it! Every table had one too where you could vote for the next song/video.
Afterward, we went to Cesears Palace to watch the animatron show since Tait is really into Greek Mythology lately. He loves the Lightning Thief series books. Then we walked and walked to try and find an ABC store so we could get the kids some mango filled marshmellows. Once we finally arrived, we found out they don't carry them during the summer because they melt in shipping :( Oh well, I wanted to look at the filth on the streets, right??? I HATE WALKING THROUGH THE STREETS OF VEGAS!! Just so you know. I think it will be another year before we attempt to go back again, or better yet, next time we will just stay away from "The Strip" altogether.

Daddy Daughter Date with Activity Days

Tiernan's Activity Day's group had a daddy daughter date and they had so much fun! They went repelling! Tiernan had done it before, so she knew what to expect, but a lot of the girls had never done it so it took a lot of coaxing to get them down! Tiernan and her friend Aydia had to wait until the end so it was already dark outside. They also made dutch oven dinners and dessert.

Out on the Boat

Our friends were kind enough to invite us to go out to Sand Hollow on their boat, and we just couldn't refuse! My kids have actually never been on a boat so it was a treat for them. I forgot to bring my camera on the boat :( so there aren't any good pictures, but here we are packing up and ready to go home! LOL! If I get better pictures from our friends phone camera, I'll post them later. First we just jumped in and swam. Then we decided to get pulled by the boat on the tube! My kids had a BLAST! We had hand signals for them to tell us to go faster, slow down, or stop. Amara kept telling us to go faster and faster, and Sinjin would just tell us to do whatever Summer wanted. It was so cute. Thane and I went too, it HURT! I guess I am getting old :(

Regatta Races!

This year our Cub Scout Pack decided to do a Regatta Race! Tait and Daddy had a lot of fun planning a boat made out of pop bottles. Here they are at the starting line... Ready, Set GO!
We went down to the "stinky" Virgin River. Yes this is a river, you should have seen it a few years back when it was as tall as the bridge we drive on. It flooded some houses in our ward. Anyway, it was the perfect host for our races.
Here is Tait too impatient to pose for a picture because he had to hurry back to race again and he is begging Tiernan to use her boat this time!
Sinjin, Tiernan and Amara wanted to join in on the fun too!

It was a fun night! Everyone won a ribbon, candy bar and an Otter Pop!

Paragliding and Hangin' Out

We always have so much fun hangin' out at the top of the hill watching Thane Paraglide. I always come home with a million photographs! Here are a few of my favorite this time because I let Tiernan have the point and shoot camera, and she came up with a few good ones...
