Poor Us! : (

Here is Sinjins poor back after being tested for allergies. These are not all from the pokes, he broke out in a rash from it all!! Soooooo Sad!! He was so brave. First he watched the nurse write on me with a marker (which he thought was so cool) and poke me with the testers. It didn't hurt at all. Then it was his turn, he laughed the whole time and said it tickled. The nurse told us that we couldn't scratch or touch, cause it could cross contaminate. So she brought in a big treasure box of toys for Sinjin to search through to keep him occupied.... it didn't work. He was sooooo itchy, and he tried to be so brave, but as soon as I said "Sinjin, it's okay, I know it itches, we're almost done" he broke into tears and a deep belly cry :( It was all I could do to not cry myself. He had so many HUGE hives on his back, nothing compared to mine on my arms. But the good thing is, we now know what we are allergic to and how to help us.

Just so you know, if you ever have Sinjin at your house, he is allergic to:
-Cats
-Dogs
-Milk
-Eggs
-Corn
**-Cashews** they are the worst for him
-Cabbage
-Celery
-Carrots
-Dust Mites
-Mold
-Grass
and
Tumble weeds!

We are giving him Zyrtec so he can just go out and play like a normal little kid, but we need to watch out for the Cashews and Celery.

I am allergic to just about every grass and tree there is, so I just have to learn to live with it and take precautions.
They did a cat scan on me and found out that my nose is crooked (that's why I can never breathe clearly through my nose) and my sinuses are majorly infected! :( I have to be on antibiotics for 3 weeks to clear it up. I am so glad to know, and to get it taken care of.

Here is a picture of Sinjin's back the DAY AFTER the test... See how bad his back is still? He is doing much better now though! I am hoping to take him to a naturalist doctor so we can get this taken care of. (sorry about the butt shot, I was too lazy to crop before posting this :) )

A new calling

I was recently called to be the Assistant Young Womens Camp Director!!! I am so excited to be a young woman again. I have never served in the Young Womens before, so it will be a learning experience, but I have the best director there ever could be, so I am in good hands! If you guys have fun creative ideas for camp, send them my way!

Sinjin is a cutie!

Last night Sinjin was trying to decide between two bedtime story books and he started doing Eny Meny Miny Mo, but this is how he said it...

miny mo, catch a tiger, miny mo, oreo!

Then the other day he was saying, "Mommy, I love you all the way to the moon and the whole earth!" and "Your the best mommy in the whole universe!!" (that was because I was making his favorite dinner!)

He is such a loving, caring, sweet little boy! We are excited for his 4th Birthday on April 16th.

Yummy Dinner, Healthy and Light

This is one of my favorite recipes. Here are pictures of the ingredients and the recipe follows...

Chicken...
Veggies...

Bowties, Garlic, Italian Seasoning, Parmesan Cheese...

Make sure you add tomatoes last!
Sprinkle evenly with seasoning...
Yummy!

Start water boiling in large pot, when boiling add half a box of bow tie pasta and follow directions on package, drain and run warm water over them to keep them separated. (keep drained though)

Add to a large skillet with about 1 T. olive oil heated up:
-3 chicken breasts cut up into bite sized pieces cooked in large skillet until cooked through.
-2 teaspoons garlic from a jar
-salt and pepper to taste
add to skillet:
-1/4 yellow onion diced
-1 large zucchini sliced small enough your kids can eat them in one bite
-1 Red Bell Pepper chopped
-1 green bell pepper chopped
(I also used a yellow one too just because I had it)
-Italian seasoning shaken heavily and evenly over veggies and chicken
cook until veggies are crisp tender and onions and zucchini are turning translucent
Add:
-1/2 cup frozen peas
-2 tomatoes, seeded and chopped

remove from heat
add pasta
shake on desired amount of Parmesan Cheese and stir
dish into bowls and sprinkle with more Parmesan Cheese

Enjoy!
