Piano Recital 2010!

My kids have had the privilege to take piano lessons this year from my dear friend Melanie.  She is such a great teacher and motivator!  She had this cute idea of calling them the "Harmonizing Heroes".  She took a picture of each of them and cut out their heads and glued them to Superman bodies!  Then each week when they would go to practice, they would earn points that would help them "fly" higher on the board.  The board was really cute too, first they had to pass the buildings, then they had to pass the mountains, then they got to fly on a bird, then the sun, then two stars, the moon twice, then they made it to the H for Heroes!  They had a blast watching the progress each week.  Tait and Tiernan made it to the H before the recital, so Melanie had a special treat for them and announced it in front of everyone.  She has such nice things to say about them.  The Theme of this recital was Movies, so Tiernan was Tilly from "An American Tale" and she played "Somewhere Out There", Tait was Charlie from "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and he played "Willy Wonka", and Amara was Snow White and played "Someday My Price Will Come".

Here is Tait playing his song...

Here is Tiernan's turn...

And Amara...
Thanks a bunch Melanie!  You are teaching my kids skills for life! :)

Your kids looked so cute and did so well. I love teaching them. It's so fun to learn more about them through teaching. Keep up the practicing guys!
